Overview

As the Sr Creative Director at Equality, I led a comprehensive rebranding project for Luxolo, an exclusive cryptocurrency platform tailored for high-net-worth individuals. Over three months, my team and I developed a new brand identity, launched a dynamic website, and rolled out foundational marketing strategies aimed at solidifying Luxolo's position in the competitive crypto market.

Objective

The primary goal was to redefine Luxolo’s brand to appeal to high-net-worth individuals, establishing it as a white-glove concierge service. This involved enhancing brand clarity, sophistication, and exclusivity, while clearly explaining their services to attract the right clientele.

Challenges

Luxolo needed to differentiate itself in a saturated market where clarity and sophistication are paramount. One challenge was that their services were priced too low to attract their target audience. Additionally, the brand had to be positioned as both cutting-edge and safe, given the unsteady nature of cryptocurrency.

Creative Vision & Strategy

I formulated the creative vision based on extensive market research, ensuring the brand identity stood out. Bringing on branding expert Tucker Oelsen, we crafted a strategic brand architecture. I introduced innovative solutions, like adding a ‘signature’ service tier to attract high-net-worth individuals.

Innovative Solutions

We integrated advanced CRM and AI tools to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency. I ensured the finance app’s design adhered to brand standards and provided guidance for public brand rollout, despite our primary focus being brand identity.

Hands-On Creative Work

Tucker and I worked closely on brand elements, colors, and typefaces. I conducted product photography for Luxolo’s ‘Vault Wallet’ and designed several ad examples for their brand rollout. My copywriting skills produced impactful lines that are still being used, such as “Own the future”.

I conceptualized and branded what became the client's signature service, now called 'Luxolo Reserve'.
